Audiosurf gets “a host of new features” for free (Audiosurf)

Audiosurf, the game that turns any mp3 track into a loop-the-loop riddled, high-speed course, has just received a host of new features.

FM Update is free and available via Steam, and has been put together by Audiosurf creator Dylan Fitterer.

Among stuff included is last .fm audioscrobbling (we have no idea what that is), the ability to run Audiosurf as a music visualiser and scoreboard comments.

Plus, Valve explains, “this update introduces a Mod interface for developers. The interface was made available during its beta phase and several Audiosurf extensions are already available.

“These include Shuffle Play, an MSN Messenger status writer, and a context menu that can launch Audiosurf directly into a song by right-clicking it in Windows Explorer.”

People have gone a bit crazy for Audiosurf. Check out our review to find out why.
